Jessica Isbell is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Board Certified Counselor (NCC), Registered Play Therapist, and an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200) from Gadsden, Alabama. She also serves as adjunct faculty and contract counselor at Jacksonville State University. She earned her Educational Specialist and Master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Jacksonville State University. She has presented at state and national conferences on parenting, child abuse/neglect, wellness, rural mental health, women’s health issues, mindfulness, yoga, substance use, trauma, suicide, play therapy, couples, and self-care.

Jessica is trained in the Mindful School curriculum, MBSR-T certified, and certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional. Jessica has worked with various agencies in Alabama involving high conflict custody and abuse-related cases. She has experience testifying in custody-related cases and custody evaluations.

She has continued to advocate for increased mental health services in rural areas since being selected as a 2016 National Board for Certified Counselors Rural Scholar. She serves on the Board of Directors for Alabama Association for Play Therapy as Ethics and Bylaws Chair and Publications/Public Relations Chair.

Grace DoodleTherapy Dog-In-Training

Grace is a six month old Goldendoodle that has been in training to become a therapy dog and a play therapy dog. She has completed Petco Puppy Classes 1 and 2. She will soon take the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test as she continues to work on her training. Right now, Grace is working on meeting new people and animals as she gets very excited. She loves people, especially kids. Grace enjoys playing, chasing tennis balls, playing in water, and snoring during naps.
